The gameplay is enriched by the weapon and outfit modification system. For successful completion of assignments we receive additional equipment. Enemies are now more demanding opponents and can use many ingenious strategies. In comparison to the original, the artificial intelligence has been significantly improved. Purchases before missions also have an impact on the course of the game, allowing to purchase codes to open doors or ensure a quick escape from the crime scene by helicopter.
This allows the randomization of events and the location of AI-controlled opponents. Repeated performance of the same tasks is not boring, because they were prepared in such a way that each time they run a little differently. Guards, police officers, FBI agents, SWAT teams and other criminals interfere in the execution of missions. The gameplay in PayDay 2 is cooperative - close cooperation with fellow gang members is essential to achieve success. Each of them has its own skill tree and uses appropriate equipment. Playable characters are divided into four specializations (Mastermind, Enforcer, Ghost and Technician). The game offers a number of different types of tasks, among which, apart from typical robberies, we can also find kidnappings or drug transports. Up to four players take part in the missions. The action is set in the city of Washington and the plot focuses on a series of dangerous orders received through the CRIMENET system. Players take the role of members of an organized crime gang. The title, similarly to the first part, was developed by Overkill Software from Stockholm.

PAYDAY 2 is an action-packed, four-player co-op shooter that once again lets gamers don the masks of the original PAYDAY crew – Dallas, Hoxton, Wolf and Chains – as they descend on Washington DC for an epic crime spree.
